The
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts Common
Entrance Examination (CEE) in order to provide admission to candidates in
teaching courses offered at Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs). RIEs are
located at different locations in the country including Ajmer, Bhubaneswar,
Bhopal, Mysore, and Shillong. |

BSc Bed |
•
Candidates who have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and
Mathematics/ Statistics (PCM) subjects fulfill RIE CEE eligibility criteria
for BSc BEd course admissions under Physical Science group.
• Candidates who have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
(PCB) subjects fulfill RIE CEE eligibility criteria for BSc BEd course
admissions under Biological Science group.
• Candidates should have cleared Class XII from a recognised board with
minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category
candidates).
• Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams in 2018 are also eligible
to apply. |
BA Bed |
•
Candidates who have cleared Class XII in Science, Commerce, or Arts stream
with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category
candidates) meet RIE CEE 2018 eligibility criteria for BA BEd course.
• Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams in 2018 are also eligible
to apply. |
MSc Ed |
•
To meet RIE CEE eligibility criteria for MSc Ed course admissions, candidates
should have cleared Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/
Statistics subjects.
• Candidates should have also cleared Class XII from a recognised board with
50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates).
• Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams in 2018 are also eligible
to apply. |
RIE CEE 2018 Admit Card |
Candidates can download their RIE CEE admit card from the official
website of the exam as per the prescribed schedule. Date for release of RIE
CEE 2018 admit card is not out yet. However, in 2017 admit cards for the
teaching exam were released in May. Candidates can download their admit card
from the RIE CEE online application system web link by using their initial
login credentials (user ID and password). RIE CEE 2018 admit card will
contain all relevant details related to the candidate (name, photograph, roll
number, signature, date of birth, address, category) and exam (name and
address of the examination centre allotted). It is mandatory for candidates
to carry their admit card at the allotted RIE CEE exam centre. The official
website informs, “Only those candidates who will be holding admit cards will
be allowed to appear in the examination.” |
RIE CEE 2018
Results |
The
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) declares RIE
CEE result on the official website of the exam as per the prescribed
schedule. Exact date for release of RIE CEE 2018 result is not out yet.
However, in 2017, the results for different courses were declared in July.
Candidates can check their result for the teaching entrance exam on the
official website of the exam by using their user credentials (user ID and
password). The result for RIE CEE 2018 will contain details such as
candidate’s name, roll number, marks secured, qualifying status, etc.
Candidates who will score at least 60% marks in the written exam and 40%
aggregate marks in subjects of the qualifying exam (BSc BEd/ BA BEd/ MSc Ed/
BEd/ BEd-MEd (Integrated)/ MEd) will be considered as RIE CEE pass. In case
of tie in total score of two candidates, weightage will be given to the score
of RIE CEE exam. |
RIE CEE
Counselling 2018 |
After results for the teaching aptitude test are declared, all
qualifying candidates will be allotted seats in their respective courses
through RIE CEE 2018 counselling. Counselling for admission in all courses
(BSc BEd / BSc Ed, BA BEd, MSc Ed, BEd, and MEd) will be done at respective
RIEs. Candidates need to appear for RIE CEE counselling session as per the
prescribed date and time.
Some of the documents that candidates need to carry for RIE CEE 2018
counselling session are:
• Printout of online application form
• Printout of score sheet
• Printout and original copy of an ID proof
• Certificates and mark sheets of class X and XII (original and two
self-attested copies)
• Migration certificate (original and self-attested copies)
• Character certificate issued by Principal of the institution last
attended (original and self-attested copies)
• Three-five passport size photographs
• Caste certificate (original and self-attested copies), if
applicable
• Demand draft of the prescribed amount for admission fee |
