Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts a National Entrance
Test (NET) exam known as TISSNET. The exam is conducted for all Masters
programmes offered in TISS campuses at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati,
IMHST Chennai, MHAT Calicut and G-SET Ranchi. TISS does not offer any MBA
programme. Instead, it offers MA in Human Resources Management and Labour
Relations (HRM & LR) programme at its Mumbai campus. It also offers
various other Masters degrees. TISSNET 2019 schedule has been announced. The
exam will take place on January 13, 2019 from 2pm to 3.40pm. TISS-NET is a
computer-based entrance exam. The entrance test consists of objective
questions related to Social Sensitivity, Logical Reasoning, Analytical
Ability and Knowledge on Contemporary issues. The exam is held for 100
minutes (1 hour & 40 minutes). Candidates are first shortlisted on the
basis of TISS NET scores. They are later called for Pre-Written Test or/and
Personal Interviews. |

Eligibility Criteria |
• Candidates with bachelor's degree (minimum of three years
duration) or equivalent from a recognised university are eligible to
apply.
• At the time of applying, candidates studying in three-year degree
programmes should have passed all subjects from first to fourth semesters;
while candidates studying in four-year degree programmes should have passed
in all subjects for first to sixth semester.
• Only those candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements
of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by the first week of June
2019 are eligible to apply to all the programme.
• There's no age limit for TISSNET exam.
Till the time the candidate submit results of the final year degree
examination, admission to any of the Master's Degree Programmes of the
Institute will be provisional, informed the official website. Those who fail
to do so the provisional admission stands cancelled. |
TISSNET 2019 Exam Centers |
TISSNET 2019 will be conducted at 39 exam centers across India.
Candidates can mark their preferences while filling in the application form.
However, the final allotment of seats shall be done on the basis of the total
number of applicants. The institute has the right to change the exam centre
according to availability of seats. TISSNET 2019 will be conducted at the
following centres:
Northern Region : Chandigarh , Dehradun ,
New Delhi , Faridabad , Ghaziabad , Jaipur , Lucknow , Noida , Varanasi ,
Greater Noida , Mohali
Eastern Region : Bhubaneshwar , Guwahati , Jamshedpur , Kolkata , Patna
, Raipur , Ranchi , Dimapur , Silchar
Western Region : Ahmedabad , Aurangabad , Bhopal , Gwalior , Indore ,
Mumbai , Nagpur , Pune , Solapur , Navi-Mumbai , Thane
Southern Region : Bengaluru , Chennai , Hyderabad , Kochi , Visakhapatnam ,
Madurai , Thiruvananthapuram , Kozhikode
Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour
before the reporting time. To avoid any hassle, outstation test-takers are
advised to check the exam centre a day before the day of exam. |
TISSNET Admit
Card 2019 |
• TISSNET 2019 admit card will be available on the official
website between December 26-27, 2018
• TISSNET 2019 will be conducted on January 19, 2018. Candidates must note
that the admit card can be accessed only by those candidates who register successfully
for the exam.
• The admit card will be available online on the official website of TISS
and candidates will also receive a link on their registered email ID to
access the same. |
TISSNET Result
2019 |
• TISSNET 2019 will be conducted on January 19, 2019.
Test-takers must note that the result of the exam can only be checked online,
and hard copies of the scorecard will not be sent to any aspirant.
• The scorecard will be available online on https://appln.tiss.edu/,and
candidates can access the same by entering their email ID and password. These
credentials are allotted to the aspirants at the time of registration, thus
it is important to keep all the details safe.
• Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit ranks. The merit list
prepared after TISSNET results are declared will carry the names of
candidates who need to attend the Pre-Interview Test (PIT) / Group
Discussion, and Personal Interview rounds. |
