Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM) started with the
vision of "Empowering Operations Excellence." Business today is
driven by technology. Understanding the breadth and depth of this area; the
advent of SIOM aims towards World Class Management Programs with emphasis on
Operations Management. There is a need for managers who have a deep
understanding of not just the commercial aspects but also the technical /
technological aspects which drive business. SIOM thus emphasizes on
Operations Management with its uniquely devised syllabus focusing on World
Class Managing Programs.
SIOM, exclusively
for ENGINEERS, is the India's only Institute dedicated to Operations
Management, constituted with a vision of Empowering and Leading Operations
Excellence, with the understanding that industry hires talent with a vision
for world class excellence, atop the current competitive markets.
SIOM is born out of
the conviction that engineers, if forged and chiseled in an exclusive
B-School environment can be outstanding ''Techno-Business'' leaders. The MBA
- Operations Management program at SIOM arms each engineer with vital skills
and knowledge necessary to design, manage, analyze, and improve the
operations systems in any industry, anywhere.
The curriculum
includes SAP-ERP training, Six Sigma Certification by KPMG, and facilitates
CPIM, CSCP Certification. This industry orientation has attracted companies
like Deloitte, PwC, Amazon, 3M, UTC, IBM, Bosch, P&G, Cummins, Tata motors,
GE, and other leading corporates from 10 different sectors like
Manufacturing, Consulting, BFSI, IT/ITes, FMCG, Retail, Logistics, Retail,
Mining, Pharmaceuticals and Infrastructure to participate in the placement
process.
SIOM has been
awarded the title of ''Institute with Best Industry Related Curriculum in
Operations Management'' by the Dewang Mehta B-School Awards (2009), Dainik
Bhaskar B-School Awards (2010) & Star News B-School Awards (2011), ABP
news National School awards (2012), ET Now Awards (2013). SIOM bagged 3
prestigious awards at the 2nd Asia's Best Emerging B School Awards held in
Singapore, viz., B School with Best Industry interface. Recently it is also
the recipient of ''Education Excellence award at the 2nd CPO forum for its
best education in SCM.

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
(OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT)
Candidate should be an Engineering Graduate
(Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology) from any recognized University/
Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent
grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes.
A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign
University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian
Universities (AIU). |
| How to apply |
For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Operations
Management [SIOM] - Nashik students should complete the following
procedure:
Step I:
The applicant must register and pay online for SNAP (Symbiosis National
Aptitude Test) Examination, 2017. SNAP 2017 test fee is INR 1750/- (+
applicable Payment gateway charges, GST and any other taxes). This is not

Step II:
While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for SIOM in the
same application form. A registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (+ applicable Payment
gateway charges, GST and any other taxes) is to be paid to SIOM for each
programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. This is mandatory, without which
the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group
Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for
the respective programme(s). |
