JEE Advanced Examination is one of the most sought examinations for engineering aspirants after 12th. It is a national level examination and only candidates those have appeared the JEE Main examination and scored the prescribed marks in JEE Main exam can appear the JEE Advanced examination as the 2nd phase on JEE examination for admission to engineering streams offered by the top IITs of India. It is confirmed that the JEE Advanced 2016 will be derived by the IIT, Guwahati.

Online registrations start – 29th April 2016 (10 AM to 5 PM)
Online registrations end – 4th May 2016 (10 AM to 5 PM)

Eligibility Criteria
The top 2 lakh candidates of JEE Main will be eligible for appearing the JEE Advanced 2016 exams.
The candidates must be born after 1st October 1991 for General and OBC – Non Creamy layer. For SC, ST and handicapped categories the candidates must be born before 1st October 1996.
The candidates can avail the JEE Advanced in two consecutive years after cracking the JEE Main.
The JEE Advanced appearing candidates must have passed the 12th or equivalent exam in the year 2015 or 2016 in one attempt.
Candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent exam for the first time in 2014 or earlier are not eligible to apply.
Students whose class 12th or equivalent results for the academic year 2013-14 were declared after June 2014 are eligible to apply.
Candidates whose admission in IITs or ISM was cancelled are also not eligible to apply.
Candidates must have secured 75% aggregate marks (for general candidate) and 75% aggregate marks (for reserved category).
Candidates should come within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in the 12th or equivalent exam.
If candidates have appeared in the 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2015 and wish to (or has to) reappear in 2016, should reappear in all the subjects.
Application Form
The application for the JEE Advanced will be done on the basis of online registration by eligible candidates after the successful declaration of JEE Main result. The candidates must have visit the JEE Advance 2016 online registration portal and upload their required scanned documents.
After uploading the documents the candidates would have to pay the prescribed fee by debit/credit or online net banking.
Application Fee
The application fee for general and OBC-NCL category is Rs. 2000/- (for male and trans gender) and Rs. 1000/- (for female candidates). The fee structure for SC, ST and physically challenged candidates is Rs. 1000/- (for male and trans gender) and Rs. 500/- (for female candidates). For Dubai  centres candidates would have to pay flat 220 US $ for all categories.
Documents to be Uploaded
The candidates would have uploaded the following scanned documents in respect to the JEE Advanced application:
10th class mark sheet and certificate for verifying the Date of Birth (Birth certificate in case of availability).
12th class mark sheet and certificate for students those have passed the 12th in 2015.
A colored passport size photograph not older than 6 month.
Scanned copy of left thumb impression.
Scanned copy of signature.
Category certificate (If applicable).
Seat Reservation
The reservation of seats for different categories is mentioned below:
OBC (NCL) – 27%
Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15 %
Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5 %
Persons with Disability (PwD) – 3 % seats in each of OPEN, OBC-NCL, SC and ST category seats
Defence Service (DS) – 2 %
Foreign nationals – 10 %
Exam Pattern
The JEE Advance paper consists of two papers i.e. paper 1 and paper 2. Both papers are compulsory. Questions will be asked from the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. The question paper will consist of multiple choice and numerical answer type questions. Negative marking will be done for the incorrect answers. The question paper will be asked in English or Hindi languages.
Admit Card
The JEE Advanced 2016 admit card will be available from 11th May 2016 and would be downloaded after feeding the registration number and the password in given tabs of admit card link. The admit card will contain the all information like name of the candidate, venue of the exam, time of exam and registration number including roll number.
Result
The JEE advanced result 2016 will be announced on 12th June 2016. The result will be announced in the official portal of JEE Advanced exams. No score card will be sent to the candidates individually.
