| UPSEE-2016 |
| Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University will conduct Uttar
Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2016 on April 17, 2016, for
aspirants seeking admissions to B.Tech programmes in the engineering colleges
of the state. Nearly 1.80 lakh candidates are expected to appear for this
state level engineering entrance exam. About 1.50 lakh engineering seats
including around 4,000 government college seats at different technical
institutes across Uttar Pradesh will be filled through this exam. The exam
conducting authority will publish examination procedure for NRI and Kashmiri
Migrant Quota seats in May, as per the norms laid down by the Government of
UP/AICTE. Candidates, who fall under this Quota, need not to appear in UPSEE
2016. |

Eligibility Criteria |
| The subject combination required in the qualifying examination
(intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its
equivalent) for admission to first year of different courses will be as
follows- |
| Compulsory
Subjects- Physics and Mathematics |
| Any one of
these subjects - Chemistry/ Bio-Technology /
Biology / Technical Vocational subject |
| For
admission to first year of B.Tech., the candidates must have clearly passed
intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its
equivalent from any recognized Board/University. They must have secured
minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) without grace in
each compulsory subject and one optional subject taken together. |
| Note: All
candidates, who are eligible for admission in B.Tech courses, are also
eligible for B.Tech. in Agriculture Engineering. |

Application Form |
| Application Form of UPSEE 2016 is available now, from February
24, 2016 onwards. Candidates can fill up the Application Form of UPSEE 2016
Online only till March 28, 2016, which is the last date for filling the
application form. |
| Application Fee |
| Candidates belonging to General/OBC category have to pay Rs.
1,000, while SC/ST candidates, Physically Handicapped and Female candidates
of all categories need to pay Rs. 500 as Application Fee for UPSEE 2016. |

| Fee for UPSEE 2016 examination can only be paid Online through
Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. |

| UPSEE 2016 will be conducted across all major cities of Uttar
Pradesh and some selected cities in other states. |
| Candidates have to choose UPSEE 2016 Exam Centre as per their
convenience while filling the application form. |

Admit Card |
| Admit card of UPSEE 2016 will be available online to every
candidate, who has submitted the application form. Downloaded admit card
shall be treated as valid identity proof. The candidates are advised to check
the details of admit cards with regards to their category, sub-category,
gender, rural weightage, name, father's name, etc. as mentioned on the hall
ticket. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate shall report to the
examination centre superintendent for such correction on the day of
examination. |
