Master of
Business Administration (Information Technology Business Management) -
MBA(ITBM)
Candidate should be Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of
National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or
equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes.
Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their
admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent
grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes
A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign
University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian
Universities (AIU).
Master of Business Administration (Data
Sciences and Data Analytics) - MBA(DS&DA)
Candidate should be Graduate with Mathematics at +2 level from any
recognised University/ Institution of National Importance and with a minimum
of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled
Caste/ Scheduled Tribes.
A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign
University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian
Universities (AIU).

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
At SCIT, a variety of instruction methods are used to impart knowledge to
the students. Traditional classroom teaching to build the fundamental
concepts, practical exercises students can get hands - on experience by
applying the lessons learnt. Case studies are extensively used, along with
this Role Plays are used to simulate a real world situation dramatically and
encourages the students to explore the solutions.
Pilot projects, Internships and dissertation are some mandatory exercises
which every student has to do in order to build up their practical skills and
develop an inclination towards research.
Besides this, students are also involved in research projects in which they
may have to do field work, building case studies and writing research papers
as a part of their course curricula. Guest lectures and seminars is strong
component of teaching as it gives industry inputs and increases the awareness
of the students about the current state of industry .Performance of students
is check through regular class test, assignments, surprise test, quiz.
Efforts are made to make the teaching more active and interactive. SCIT
focuses on innovative teaching methodologies which help in making the
classroom sessions more active and interactive. |
| How to apply |
For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Centre for Information
Technology, Pune (SCIT) students should complete the following
procedure:
Step I:
The applicant must register and pay online for SNAP (Symbiosis National
Aptitude Test) Examination, 2017. SNAP 2017 test fee is INR 1750/- (+
applicable Payment gateway charges, GST and any other taxes). This is not

Step II:
While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for SCIT in the
same application form. A registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (+ applicable Payment
gateway charges, GST and any other taxes) is to be paid to SCIT for each
programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. This is mandatory, without which
the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group
Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for
the respective programme(s). |
