Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, conducts common entrance tests
for admission to various UG and PG courses. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyala Common
Entrance Test or DAVV CET is held in May-June every year. Candidates who wish
to pursue any of the following courses have to appear for DAVV CET 2018 which
will be held in the month of June. DAVV CET is divided into four groups.
Eligibility criteria, exam syllabus, exam pattern and exam date of the
courses grouped together are common. |

Eligibility |
• To apply for any UG course the candidate must be class 12th
pass from a recognized board/university with at least 45-55% marks
• To apply for any PG course the candidate must be a graduate in relevant
subjects with atleast 50-55% marks
• There is a provision of relaxation of 5% for physically disabled
candidates and SC/ST candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh
• Candidates awaiting their final result can also apply, but they will be
required to submit the final year marksheet by August 8, 2018 |
Exam Pattern |
DAVV CET 2018 will be conducted in online mode for two hours. The
question paper will contain MCQs with four options to choose the right answer
from. DAVV CET 2018 for Group A and D will be held between 10 am to 11:30 am
and DAVV CET 2018 for Group B and C will be held between 2 pm to 3:30
pm.

Syllabus for Group A and Group B tests:
• Quantitative Ability
• Data Interpretation
• Logical Reasoning and General Intelligence
• English Language Comprehension
• General Awareness
Syllabus for Group C test:
The
Test for Group C, shall include total 75 questions of which 15 questions will
be from English and 20 questions each from Physics, Mathematics/Biology and
Chemistry. In the Test for Group C, choices to candidate will be as
follows:
• BPharm: English,
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology
• MBA (HA):
English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
• MCA, MTech.: English,
Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry
(Students who do not opt for Mathematics will not be considered for
MCA/MTech & similarly who do not opt for Biology will not be considered
for MBA (HA)
Syllabus for Group D test:
• LLM shall include 75 questions
in all covering the all compulsory Law subjects prescribed by BCI (Bar
Council of India) for the Undergraduate Programmes.
• MSc (Life Sciences/Industrial Microbiology) shall include 75 questions
based on the programme contents being taught at graduation level (BSc) in
Biological Sciences.
• MSc (Biochemistry) shall include 75 questions based on the programme
contents being taught at graduation level (BSc) in Biological Sciences.
• MSc (Electronics/Electronics & Communication) shall include 75
questions in all covering the subjects Physics/Mathematics/Electronics at
Undergraduate level. |
Admit Card |
The DAVV CET 2018 admit cards will be made available for download from
the date notified in the admission schedule. Registered candidates will be
required to download their DAVV CET 2018 admit cards from the official
website using application number and date of birth; from the scheduled date. |
Results |
DAVV CET 2018 results will be announced on the scheduled date
mentioned in the official notification. The names of qualifying candidates
will be put out on the university notice board as well as on the official
website. Those who wish to download their scorecards from the official
website, can do so by using login credentials. Other can obtain a copy from
the university office. Each DAVV CET 2018 scorecard will carry the
candidate’s name, roll number, sectional scores and overall score. A merit
list will also be released indicating the ranks of successful candidates. In
case of tie (more than one student on the same rank), admission will be given
as under:
• Higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations will be
considered;
• In case where result of qualifying examination is not declared, seniority
in age will be considered
Candidates must note that there is no provision of re-evaluation of DAVV
CET answer sheets. The scorecard is an important document. Admission will not
be granted to any student in the absence of his/her scorecard. DAVV CET 2017
was taken by 16000 candidates appeared for CET held on June 28. The 2017
topper list is dominated by male candidates. Out of eight toppers in four
groups, six are boys and the rest are girls. In A, B and C groups four
toppers are boys while in Group D, two toppers are girls and two are boys. |
Counselling |
DAVV
CET 2018 counseling schedule and guidelines will be declared along with the
result. Candidates selected for counselling round must be present in person
for the session. In case of absence, the seat will be offered to the next
deserving candidate. Following documents will required at the time of
counseling/ admission:
• Three passport size photographs not more than three months old
• DAVV CET 2018 Admit Card
• Copy of DAVV CET 2018 result downloaded from website
• Aadhar Card- Original for verification +1 Photocopy (Self Attested)
• Mark Sheet of qualifying examination - Original for verification +1

• Candidates who will be admitted on undertaking (in case final exam result
is awaited) will have to produce final result in case of result not declared
at the time of first counseling. |
Application Form |
DAVV CET 2018 application forms will be available on the university
website between the scheduled registration dates. There is no provision of
submission of forms by mail or in person. The candidates can apply only
online.
Application fee of Rs 1500 + Rs 50 (online service charges) can be paid
online through MPOnline authorized kiosks or through ATM cum debit
card/credit card or net banking.
While filling the application form the candidate must remember the
following points:
• Do not leave any mandatory field empty
• Upload a scanned recent passport sized photo with the form
• You will need to upload your scanned signature too
• Cross check all the information entered on the form before hitting
save/submit key
• Once submitted, the form cannot be edited
• Keep a copy of fee payment acknowledgement slip and the duly filled
application form for future reference |
