NOTICE |
| The
Selection Committee Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil
Nadu will accept 10+2/HSC for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered at
various Government aided Health Sciences Institutes and Private Medical
Health Sciences Institutes/Colleges. There will be no entrance exam for Tamil
Nadu Medical Admission 2016 but candidates will be admitted to MBBS and BDS
programmes based on their 10+2/HSC marks. Tamil Nadu Medical Admission 2016
will be done for admission to 85% MBBS and BDS seats in medical and dental
colleges affiliated to the Tamil Nadu and remaining 15% seats is All India
Quota to be filled through AIPMT 2016. |
| Tamil
Nadu Medical Admission 2016 will be done for around 2172 MBBS seats in 19
Government medical colleges and 85 BDS seats in 1 Dental College. In addition
to this, there are around 1,010 of MBBS and BDS seats available in 8 Self
Financing Medical/Dental Colleges, out of which 595 under the state quota and
65 of the sanctioned 100 seats under ESIC Medical College, Chennai, will be
available under state quota. Candidates in these institutions will be
admitted through Tamil Nadu Medical Admission 2016. Candidates can read here

| Tamil Nadu
Medical 2016 Eligibility: |
| Admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered at
different medical colleges of Tamil Nadu will be done strictly on fulfilment
of eligibility criteria as asked by examination authority. The highlights of
Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2016 eligibility criteria are given below: |

| Candidate should be a Citizen of India and native
of Tamil Nadu |
| Educational Qualification: |
Candidates must have studied from VIII to XII
standards in schools in Tamil Nadu
Candidates who studied from VIII to XII standards either partly or
completely in schools situated outside Tamil Nadu have to produce the
Nativity Certificate
Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination
(Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board /any other equivalent
Board in one and the same attempt with requisite percentage in Physics,
Chemistry, Botany and Zoology and Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other
subjects
Candidates undergoing MBBS and BDS course are not eligible to apply for
MBBS and BDS course respectively |

Medical 2016 Application Form: |
| The application procedure of Tamil Nadu Medical
2016 will begin tentatively from May 9. Candidates have to fill Tamil Nadu
Medical Admission 2016 Application Form in their own handwriting after
downloading it. The filled in application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS
Admission 2016 must reach to concerned admission authority on or before the
closing date with requisite enclosures in a large sized cover measuring 38cm
X 28cm super scribed ‘APPLICATION FOR MBBS / BDS COURSE 2016 – 2017 SESSION’
to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai -10. |
| The application fee for general category
candidates is Rs. 500 while SC/SCA and ST candidates who are Natives of Tamil
Nadu are exempted from payment of the cost of TN Medical 2016 Application
Form. |

Medical 2016 Important Dates: |
| The application form of Tamil Nadu Medical 2016
will be available from May 9 and the last date for downloading and submission
of application form is May 27, 2016 (tentatively). Candidates can check Tamil

| Tamil Nadu
Medical 2016 Merit List: |
| The merit list of Tamil Nadu Medical 2016 will be
the basis for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats available in government,
semi-government and private medical and dental colleges. The ranking of
candidates will be done on merit based on the marks obtained by the eligible
candidates in the science subjects in the qualifying examinations. The Tamil
Nadu MBBS and BDS 2016 merit list will be prepared after reducing the
obtained marks in 10+2/HSC to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained
through different boards will be taken into account after normalization.
Under the method of normalization the highest mark obtained by the students
of various Boards in each subject will be equated to the highest mark
obtained by the students of State Board in that subject and the relative
marks obtained by other students in that subject will be determined
accordingly. The normalized marks in
the relevant subjects will be merged into a common merit list. In case of
candidates who have qualified from National boards such as CBSE and ISCE
etc., the highest marks obtained by candidate at the National Level alone
will be taken into consideration. |

medical and 85 BDS seats in 1 Dental college in Tamil Nadu. Candidates can
